Permanently Delete Facebook Messages

Step 1. Click the "Messages" icon on your Facebook homepage. The Messages icon lies in the leading left edge and also appears like two small overlapping speech bubbles.

If it is not listed on the initial Messages pop-up home window, click "See All" to see every one of your exclusive messages. Erasing a personal message in your Messages inbox does not delete it from the inbox of your conversation partner.
